No, I did not have to sleep on the sofa. But, there was dissent in our household over this California Pizza Kitchen Thai salad dressing. We both loved the peanut flavor. And the soy sauce adds that nice Asian-inspired component. The dressing is slightly sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. But then came the sesame oil and our opinions became to differ. My wife loved it, thought it was the perfect balance and addition to the dressing. Me, I thought it was a bit too much. When I cook with sesame oil I tend to use less than the recipe calls for. I would’ve used less when making this dressing, too.
Not Just A Salad Dressing
I could see, however, using California Pizza Kitchen Thai Salad Dressing on something other salads. Perhaps as a marinade for grilled chicken. Or as a dipping sauce for pot stickers or, oh yum, egg rolls. It’s not a bad dressing, not at all. My wife absolutely loves it. If you’re into sesame oil, though, you’ll love it too. For my tastes, I’d just tame the sesame oil a bit.
